This is a wonderful, cinematic exhibition of new paintings from Vincent Desiderio, at Marlborough Gallery. There are several powerful, large paintings filled with provocative, if not passionately rendered figures. In spite of a frigid January evening, I joined an exuberant crowd for the opening of Vincent Desiderio’s exhibition of new works at Marlborough Gallery on 57th Street. This was a sprawling show of small and large works, featuring a number of delightful figurative studies that one can only appreciate up close. A real treat to end the holiday season of 2013!
