The Harlem Speakeasy Sketch Salon

This last October, on a crisp autumn evening, a handful of figurative artists gathered in a lushly renovated brownstone on a tree-lined street in upper Harlem. Janet A CookCosta Vavagiakis, Patricia Watwood, and Jeffrey Wiener joined Leah Poller, the host of this Halloween-inspired drawing event which featured model Sarah Schoofs as our Shaman guide.

This intimate evening of drawing between old friends was sponsored by TheGreatNude.tv,  which has produced figurative art exhibitions and public events since launching as an online video magazine in 2007. This new venture, entitled “Harlem Speakeasy Sketch Salon” will be co-produced by TheGreatNude and Art Alliance as a recurring event in 2019.

The Harlem Speakeasy Sketch Salons will be limited to pre-vetted Artists by RSVP to provide the most favorable environment for experienced artists. Artists to bring their own drawing supplies. A $40.00  ON-LINE, PREPAID FEE COVERS THE EVENING PROGRAM – OPEN BAR/SNACKS PROVIDED.
